They do have a side program during our stay at the wonderful Harlaxton that allows us to meet families in England and they will take us under their wing and show us a true English way. The students fill out a little questionaire online, along with an intro letter, and we are assigned to a certain family. Those families will see us once a month, bimonthly, weekly, or whatever you signed up for. They could take you to soccer games, out to eat, to plays, or whatever we want! From what we hear...they know we are yearning for good food since the schools food isn't completely filling...or tasty for that matter. I can't wait!!
For those of you that don't know, I will not be partaking on this European adventure alone...Thank God! :) There are 27 students from Western going, and nine girls from my floor are going! Adrienne, who is in the same major as I am, will be accompaning me, and she also knows sign language, so I won't miss a beat when I come back!
Well, this was just a little informative post with two purposes: (1) So i could figure out how all this works before I leave and (2) so I can give you a preview of my Harlaxton adventure!
Hope you understand a little more what's going to be happening with me in England...don't be a stranger! :)

Chels - I am very excited about your trip and travels! Its like something I would have done 25 years ago - if i was actually smart enough to get picked. Have a great time and be safe! Remember you have to be back by March 28th - there is a wedding for you to go to!
